SignPost Cancer Analytics names Nicholas Dracopoli, Ph.D., and Olivier Elemento, Ph.D., as first members of Scientific Advisory Board

Dr. Dracopoli, a veteran oncology diagnostics and translational research leader, will chair the SAB and join SignPost’s Board of Directors.

KINGSTON, ONTARIO, 21 October 2026. SignPost Cancer Analytics, Inc., developer of BreastDefense™, an AI-powered clinical decision support system for precision breast cancer care, today announced the appointment of its first two Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) members: Nicholas Dracopoli, Ph.D., who will lead the SAB and also join the Company’s Board of Directors, and Olivier Elemento, Ph.D., Director of the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Together, the two advisors bring decades of experience in cancer genomics, translational oncology and computational biology. Their guidance will help shape the validation studies and clinical development path for BreastDefense as the Company advances toward Version 1 of the platform.

About the Scientific Advisory Board

The SAB will advise SignPost on the scientific and clinical strategy for BreastDefense, including the design and interpretation of its analytical and clinical validation studies, the continued development of its biological intelligence engine, and the path toward clinical use. Dr. Dracopoli will lead the SAB and serve as the link between its scientific advice and the Company’s CEO and Board of Directors.

Nicholas Dracopoli, Ph.D.

Nicholas Dracopoli, Ph.D., has spent decades leading oncology and translational research for renowned institutions, top biopharma companies and an investor-backed biotech company. Most recently Dr. Dracopoli was a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of DELFI Diagnostics, a pioneer in cfDNA-based liquid biopsies for early lung cancer detection, from its founding in 2019 to 2025 and presently serves DELFI as senior consultant. He has extensive experience in genomics applications for drug and diagnostic development and led oncology translational science teams at Bristol Myers Squibb and Janssen (J&J) before joining DELFI. He obtained his Ph.D. at the University of London before completing post-doc and scientist roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and MIT before joining the biotech industry.

Olivier Elemento, Ph.D.

Olivier Elemento, Ph.D., is Director of the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, Professor of Physiology and Biophysics, Professor of Computational Genomics in Computational Biomedicine, and Associate Director of the Institute for Computational Biomedicine. His research combines large-scale data analytics with experimental work to study cancer genomics, epigenomics, tumor evolution and drug resistance, and early cancer detection using machine learning. Dr. Elemento’s SAB appointment is in his individual capacity and is separate from SignPost’s research agreement with Weill Cornell Medicine.

About BreastDefense™

Breast cancer, the most common cancer in women globally, is managed today through a series of episodic diagnostic decisions, but the disease itself evolves continuously over time. BreastDefense is an AI-powered clinical decision support system, driven by a continuously learning biological intelligence engine, that integrates whole-genome molecular data with imaging and longitudinal clinical information to help clinicians detect, characterize, understand and longitudinally monitor each patient’s breast cancer journey.

Designed to participate across screening, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and surveillance, BreastDefense is intended to increase the value of existing breast imaging, molecular diagnostics and clinical workflows, not replace them. Its advantage does not depend on any single assay. As the dataset grows, the AI platform builds a consolidated proprietary collection of patient-specific breast cancer data of increasing value, creating a continuously improving longitudinal information layer.

Comment

“Nic and Olivier are exactly the scientific leaders we hoped to bring in as BreastDefense moves from concept to evidence,” said Peter Blaney, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of SignPost Cancer Analytics. “Nic has built and led oncology diagnostics programs from discovery through clinical use, and Olivier is a leader in applying computational methods to cancer genomics. Their rigor will sharpen how we design our validation studies and how we interpret what they tell us. We are delighted that Nic will also join our Board of Directors and lead the SAB.”

“Breast cancer care needs inexpensive blood-based tools to connect what imaging shows to what the disease is actually doing biologically, and that keep learning as a patient’s disease changes,” said Dr. Dracopoli. “BreastDefense builds from whole-genome data and will be validated rigorously before it is further translated into a practical assay. That is an approach I believe in, and I look forward to working with the team and with Olivier to guide its scientific and clinical development.”
